The head of the research project, „Curcuminoid-polyphenol conjugates as potential therapeutics for urinary system cancer treatment, ” Prof. Tomasz Gośliński, announces recruitment for the post-doc position.

The candidate should fulfill the following requirements:

  • doctoral degree obtained no earlier than 7 years before signing the employment contract in the project (this period does not include breaks specified in the resolution of the NCN Council No. 130/2020 of December 11, 2020), preferred higher education in the field of chemical, pharmaceutical sciences, technology chemical and related;
  • doctoral degree obtained in an entity other than the Poznan University of Medical Sciences;
  • experience in medicinal chemistry, including assessment of the biological activity of obtained chemical compounds and knowledge of laboratory work and separation techniques, experience in chemical synthesis, knowledge of the principles of Good Laboratory Practice and safety rules related to working with chemical reagents;
  • the ability to combine teamwork and scientific independence;
  • good knowledge of English;
  • scientific and publication achievements.

Description of tasks:

  • planning, organization and implementation of research tasks provided for in the project;
  • developing research results and preparing scientific publications and presentations based on the obtained results;
  • conducting advanced syntheses on a pilot scale;
  • performing physicochemical characterization of new chemical compounds, as well as assisting in the assessment of their biological activity.

The conditions of employment:

  • full-time employment contract;
  • employment period: 6 months with the possibility of extension to 12 months;
  • salary PLN 120,000 gross gross per year;
  • a person employed as a post-doc during the period of receiving remuneration from the project cannot receive any other remuneration from funds allocated as direct costs in NCN competitions and cannot receive remuneration from another employer under an employment contract;
  • planned start date of work – December 2023 – February 2024.
